VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteers are needed at the Thrift Store and Food Pantry in a number of areas. Contact Bonnie Matthews at 715-735-6956 for more information. Helping neighbors starts at home and these volunteer opportunities can accommodate nearly every schedule!
Stock and Straighten Volunteers
Duties: Volunteers to hang, tag, price, re-stock, and straighten merchandise on sales floor. Merchandise includes clothing, toys, house wares, books, and shoes.
Qualifications: This requires someone who is able to stand for a period of time (about 30 minutes at a time), walk and bend.
Jewelry Specialist
Duties: Volunteers to sort, price and stock jewelry.
Qualifications: This position requires you to be on your feet and move around. Ability to distinguish quality of items and organizational skills are a plus.
Antiques/Vintage Specialist
Duties: Volunteers to sort and price antiques and vintage items in our back room sorting area and stock items on sales floor. Requires you to be on your feet for a period of time (about 30 minutes at a time). You may be assigned to assist in a different area that has the greatest need on your day of service.
Qualifications: This position requires you to be on your feet and move around. Ability to distinguish quality of items and organizational skills are a plus.
Bagging
Duties: Volunteer to put customer items in bags after they are scanned by the cashier.
Qualifications: Must be able to follow directions of customer and cashier. This position requires you to be on your feet and moving around for the duration of your service.
Food Pantry Stocker
Duties: Volunteer to stock food pantry
Qualifications: Must be able to follow directions of food pantry supervisor. Ability to reach, bend, and lift up to 10 lbs. This position requires you to be on your feet and move around for the duration of your service. Must be able to read and comprehend basic instructions. Ability to distinguish quality of items and organizational skills are a plus.
Food Pantry Server
Duties: Volunteer to register and serve food pantry clients.
Qualifications: Must be courteous and able to follow directions of food pantry supervisor. This position requires you to be on your feet and moving around for the duration of your service.
